3. Networking Visits: We will coordinate a yearly programme of research visit.

4. Grants Writing Sand-Pits: Three Sand Pit events for grant writing will take place. If interested please email Natalio Krasnogor.

5. Sustainable Synthetic Biology Interdisciplinary Scholarship: Schedules of visits and other scholarly activities aimed at promoting synthetic biology to a wider academic audience.

6. Supporting the European Conference on Synthetic Biology: Some of our members (Krasnogor, Valencia, de Lorenzo) were instrumental setting up this conference series.

7. SynBioNT iGEM participation: Setting up the team that will represent SynBioNT in the international Genetically Engineered Machine competition.

8. Societal Aspects of Synthetic Biology: A seminar series on societal issues raised by synthetic biology with a program of public engagement activities, science communication training for network members and media engagement activities will be developed.
